Enhanced System Applications Sdn Bhd (“ESA”) is an electronics design company and electronics solutions provider located in Malaysia. We provide electronics design & consultancy, research and product development, ID & mechanical design, production, product management and repair services to companies in the automotive, consumer, industrial, instrumentation, medical and telecommunications industries. We partner with strategic reliable electronics contract manufacturers to provide complete one-stop solutions for our customers.
ESA was incorporated and founded in 2004 by CHEN Yon Chet, a bachelor of engineering degree holder who graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Chen started providing electronics product design and development services by working from his home. His first design and development project was toiletry products for Malstar customer. Within a year (2004), Chen successfully completed developed five products for his customers.
As business was growing, in 2006, ESA moved into a rented commercial property in Puteri Jaya. Then, in 2012, the company acquired its own property, where the current premise is located.

About CHEN Yon Chet
Chen graduated in 1998 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Electrical Engineering. During his university undergraduate education, he gained his valuable practical training experience at VS Industry Berhad in 1997 (an EMS Provider listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad). He was involved in the consumer electronics products such as discman and remote controls. He improved his knowledge in reliability test and also under the supervision of Japanese customer’s product engineer.
In 1998, Chen worked at Pioneer Singapore as a R&D engineer designing hi-fi compo. After 3 months of joining the company, he was promoted to team leader. In 20 months period, his team successfully developed 3 models for the company.
In 2000, Chen returned to Malaysia and joined JVC Malaysia as R&D engineer. After that, he joined PUC Founder (MSC) Berhad (listed on the MESDAQ Market of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange) as a Chief R&D engineer developing fingerprint time attendance products. In three years, his team of 6 members successfully developed two products. After Chen left the company, he then established his own electronics design company, ESA.
